Pam Delgaty
Executive Director
Pam is the Lead Nurse Practitioner for the Lakehead Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic. After obtaining her Nursing Degree from Lakehead University in 1990, Pam travelled extensively across Europe and Asia. Over the next ten years, Pam worked in the Canadian North, the U.S. Correctional System and as a Medical Officer for the Canadian Coast Guard. Pam returned to school and graduated from the Nurse Practitioner Program at Lakehead University in 2000 at the top of her class. After graduation she worked at the Norwest Community Health Centre for ten years. Pam has been with the Lakehead Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic since February 2011.

Rebecca Krawczuk
Business Operations Manager
After graduating in 2015 with
the Gold Medal in the Master of Music program and a Certificate in Business
Administration from Brandon University, Rebecca returned to her hometown of
Thunder Bay. Since then, she has worked in administration for Thunder Airlines
until joining the LNPLC as Business Operations Manager in 2023. Rebecca
continues to engage in various community music programs including the TBSO and
Lakehead University.

Jenna Coderre
Nurse Practitioner
Jenna is a local girl, who was born and raised in Kakabeka Falls. She enjoys all the outdoor activities the Thunder Bay area has to offer. She went to school at Lakehead University, first completing a degree in Biology before completing her Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2009. She started her career at TBRHSC, where she worked on Stroke and Renal medicine until she returned to LU to compete the Nurse Practitioner Program in 2015. From there she worked for a brief period at Anishnawbie Mushkiki NP Led Clinic, then went North to work as a Community Health Nurse and Nurse in Charge in Sandy Lake First Nations. She worked there until becoming part of the team at Lakehead NPLC.

Katrina Hill
Nurse Practitioner
Katrina has been nursing for 30 years in increasing capacity. She has worked at Lakehead NPLC for the past several years, providing care to our clinic’s patients, and also provides care to patients through her own Encompass Healthcare.

Crystal Kaukinen
Nurse Practitioner
Crystal graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Lakehead University with first class standings in 2003. She obtained her certificate as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner in 2009 and Masters Degree in Nursing in 2016. Crystal has special interest in providing nursing care for babies and children and started her career working with the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre paediatric unit and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit’s Healthy Babies Healthy Children Program. Following this she expanded into providing primary health care for the whole family working initially with Anishnawbe Mushkiki and has been in her current position at the Lakehead Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic since 2010. Crystal grew up in Thunder Bay and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Carolan Thayer
Nurse Practitioner
Carolan graduated from Lakehead University in 1990 with an Honours Bachelor of Science in Nursing. She worked in Maternal Child Care and was also a Dental Hygienist and Clinical Educator. Carolan worked on Northern Reserves, especially Sandy Lake, for several years. She graduated in 2006 as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner and began working at the Norwest Community Health Centre. Carolan has a special interest in Diabetes and Chronic Disease Management.

Kelsey York
Nurse Practitioner
Kelsey completed her BScN at Lakehead University in 2012. She has worked as a Registered Nurse at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre on the neurosurgical unit, and in the immunization department at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit. She was able to combine her passion for nursing and travel by working in Australia in both the acute and primary care settings. Kelsey returned to school in 2015 and completed her Masters of Public Health and obtained her qualifications as a Primary Health Care Nurse Practitioner through Lakehead University. She has been working as a Nurse Practitioner in Kenora at an Indigenous Care Community Access Centre since graduating in 2017. Kelsey is excited to be part of the Lakehead NPLC team and looks forward to continuing her career providing primary care to residents in her hometown of Thunder Bay.

Jamie Lindberg
Nurse Practitioner
Born and raised in Thunder Bay, Jamie is passionate about our community with an emphasis on improving access and quality of care to our region. Prior to joining the LNPLC team in 2021, Jamie worked as a nurse in the community specializing in wound and palliative care. Jamie graduated from the Queen’s Masters of Nursing and Primary Care Nurse Practitioner Program in 2021 and has been with our team since. When not caring for patients and reading about the latest medical evidence, Jamie enjoys skiing, snowmobiling, hunting and fishing.

Kelsey Hoogsteen
Nurse Practitioner
Kelsey started her education in Health Sciences at the University of Ottawa, and later moved home to attend Lakehead University and graduated from the Compressed Nursing Program in 2012. She spent the first few years of her career working as a surgical float RN and on the neurosurgical floor at the TBRHSC. After her first maternity leave, she started work at the Thunder Bay District Health Unit in the Healthy Babies, Healthy Children Program and breastfeeding clinic. She went back to school to complete her Masters in Public Health and Nurse Practitioner program in 2015 and studied and worked part-time, graduating in 2020. Kelsey started her career as a Nurse Practitioner working in long-term care and alongside physicians within various settings in the community as well as in primary care at Norwest CHC for the past 2 years. She has a special interest in mental health and addictions medicine and is working on a Certificate Program through the University of Toronto to broaden her knowledge and skills in this area. When Kelsey is not at work, she loves hanging out with her husband and kids, especially at their lakefront property. She loves fishing, swimming and all things water and is thrilled to live in and provide care to the residents of this beautiful corner of the world. Kelsey is thrilled to be joining the Lakehead NPLC team!

Robin Latimer
Nurse Practitioner
Robin completed her nursing degree at the University of Manitoba in 2003. After practicing in the acute care setting, she returned to school and completed her Nurse Practitioner certificate through the University of Ottawa in 2008. She has since been working as a Nurse Practitioner in family practice. Born and raised in Thunder Bay, she returned home to raise her family in 2011. She has always been active with sports, playing competitive hockey from a young age. She tries to promote healthy lifestyle in all aspects of her life by being active during her workdays and homelife activities with her children like hiking, biking, skiing and camping. She takes pride in practicing in her hometown to provide primary care to her community.

Margo Ayoub
Social Worker
Margo grew up in Winnipeg, Manitoba, and moved to Thunder Bay in 2002. She completed her Bachelor of Arts Degree in International Development Studies at the University of Winnipeg, and her Bachelor of Social Work and Master of Social Work Degrees at Lakehead University.
Margo has worked in the Social Work field in a variety of
capacities, from community programs, to individual psychotherapy. Margo’s work
has focused on the social determinants of health, and supporting marginalized
populations, as well as addictions, grief, and trauma. She has travelled to a
number of remote communities in Northern Ontario to provide support for
individuals and families.
Margo has been with the LNPLC since 2021, and is happy to be
part of such a fantastic team!

Erin Everett
Registered Practical Nurse
Erin is a Registered Practical Nurse who graduated from Confederation College in 2011. She brings 12 years of experience to the clinic working most of her career at St.Joseph’s Hospital in Medically Complex Extensive Services, Hospice Palliative Care, Stroke and Acquired Brain Injury and Geriatric Rehab. Erin also works as a nurse for the Ministry of the Solicitor General in corrections. She has completed her Foundations of Wound Management Course through the Wound Ostomy Continence Institute which has allowed her to specialize in wound care in the community outpatient clinics.
When Erin isn’t working, she enjoys traveling, fishing, hiking and slicing it on the golf course. Working at various locations in healthcare has allowed for a holistic approach to care which Erin strives to provide to every patient she interacts with.

Katie McGrath
Registered Practical Nurse
Katie graduated with honors from Confederation Colleges Registered Practical Nurse Program in 2011, and has gained experience in this role while working at St Josephs Care Group, Nipigon District Memorial Hospital, McCausland Hospital, Fort William Clinic and the Thunder Bay District Health Unit before joining our team in October 2022. Katie is looking forward to providing excellent care to our patients here at the LNPLC as well as providing foot care services in the near future.

Lori was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She enjoys all types of activities including hiking, camping, canoeing, home renovation projects and cultural events around town. Lori enjoys being a part of the administrative team here at the LNPLC!

Kim
Registered Nurse
Kim completed the Registered Nursing program through Confederation College, and joined the Lakehead NPLC in December 2012. She brings over 20 years of nursing experience, starting at McKellar Hospital. For the last ten years she’s provided nursing care at the Upsala nursing station, and has been practicing emergency department nursing and ambulatory care. Kim has worked extensively with health teaching and patient education and has a lot of experience working with the diversity of patients seen at our clinic.

Sheena
Registered Practical Nurse
Sheena was born and raised in Northwestern Ontario and received her Registered Practical Nursing diploma here in Thunder Bay at Confederation College. Sheena is our full-time RPN with over 14 years of experience in her discipline. She started her career on 2A, the Stroke and Renal Unit, at Thunder Bay Regional Health Science Centre and has also worked casually for the Norwest Community Health Centre. Most recently she came to us from the Thunder Bay District Health Unit where she worked in the Vaccine Preventable Disease Program for 11 years. During that time she gained passion, and extensive knowledge for vaccines, immunization schedules and public health.
Sheena is looking forward to bringing her experience and warm personality to our amazing patients here at the Lakehead Nurse Practitioner-Led clinic.

Janelle
Registered Practical Nurse
Janelle is a Registered Practical Nurse who graduated the Practical Nursing Program with honours in 2017. She had previously worked in the Hamilton Wentworth District School Board with ESL & special needs students. Her love for helping others and interest in healthcare is what inspired her to return to postsecondary education for nursing. Janelle started out her nursing career at the TBRHSC working on the 3B Surgical Inpatient Unit and Alternative Level of Care Unit before being employed by Good Doctors Medical Clinic in Kakabeka Falls. She was able to gain experience helping a diversity of patients, while acquiring pertinent knowledge, assessment and clinical skills which she has been able to use here at LNPLC. Janelle is a kind, upbeat and compassionate individual who values wholistic care for everyone. She looks forward to furthering her knowledge, skills and experience here at Lakehead Nurse Practitioner Led Clinic.

Alixis
Registered Dietitian
Alixis is a Registered Dietitian and working towards obtaining her Certified Diabetes Educator certificate. She graduated with a degree in BSc Human Nutrition with Honours and Integrated Dietetic Internship in 2018 from St. Francis Xavier University in Antigonish, Nova Scotia.
Alixis has been working as a Registered Dietitian since April 2018 with past experience in long-term care, community and population health, chronic disease management and experience on the regional stroke unit in an acute setting. Based on past experiences, she feels confident in her ability to bring previous knowledge and experience to serve the patients of Lakehead Nurse Practitioner-Led Clinic. Alixis provides nutrition counselling and education on a variety of nutrition related concerns such as diabetes, weight management, lipid management, hypertension, infant/child and family nutrition, digestive diseases, prenatal nutrition and plant-based eating patterns.

Lawni
Social Worker
Lawni graduated from Lakehead University School of Social work with first class standings in the Honours Bachelor of Social Work program. She is a registered Social Worker with a double minor specialization in Woman’s Studies and Gerontology. Additionally, she holds a post degree certificate in Addictive Disorders (2002), completed here Bachelor’s degree in Sociology (1998) and a Social Worker Diploma (1995). Lawni has over 22 years of experience in the health care sector as a Social Worker and Manager. She brings extensive knowledge in the areas of mental health, addictions, primary care, acute care, chronic care, long term care, palliative care, and home and community care support services. Lawni possesses skills in the areas of home care management, counselling therapy, chronic disease management, community development, case management, program development, implementation, evaluation, and risk management.

Anna
Pharmacist
Anna was born and raised in Thunder Bay, and graduated as a Pharmacist from the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Toronto in 1995. Since that time she has worked full time as a pharmacist, currently owning and operating her own pharmacy, and consulted in various areas of healthcare. She has a speciality certification in Geriatric Pharmacy, and more recently has become certified in Smoking Cessation. This training is put to good use at the clinic where Anna serves as a resource for clinic staff, and completes medication reviews and Smoking cessation consultations with patients.

Marlene
Receptionist/Medical Secretary
Marlene was born and raised in Thunder Bay. She brings with her over 10 years of experience working the medical field, ranging from receptionist, medical billing, to hospital admissions. She splits her time between the Admitting Department at TBRHSC and LNPLC. Marlene thoroughly enjoys every minute at the clinic thanks to its warm and welcoming environment.
